American Printing Company has been an active member of the Madison and Dane County community for over 50 years. We believe in being involved with and giving back to the communities where we live and work.
Events and fundraising:
American Printing is proud to support charitable events and fundraising efforts as a company and we encourage our employees to do the same. For nineteen years we have supported the Cancer Society Run/Walk and for eleven years the Relay for Life. Our employees volunteer their time to act as coordinators and to form the American Printing Company team. American Printing and volunteer employee teams have contributed over $100,000 to these two events.
We also enjoy sponsoring teams participating in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County "Bowl for Kid's Sake" event. Some American Printing employees are Big Brothers or Big Sisters themselves so support of this event has special meaning.
For the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays our employees coordinate company food drives for items to donate to local food pantries. We are also proud of our employees for their participation in the "Host a Family" program that provides gifts to less fortunate families.
Education:
American Printing believes that it is vital that young adults are encouraged to consider the graphic arts industry as a career. We are involved with local career tradeshows and we provide tours and information to high school, technical and university students.
Recycling:
American Printing Company is aware of how the print industry can impact our environment. We make every effort to recycle all materials used in the printing process. This aggressive stance has cut waste by 70% in the last 3 years.
