Job Summary
Effectively and efficiently perform cost estimates. Reporting to the CEO, work cross functionally with all department personnel to provide the most cost efficient solutions to meet customer requirements.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Create timely and accurate estimates for our customers that:
    • Represent the best and most efficient way of producing a job;
    • Accurately depict our cost, profitability structure and market conditions;
    • Meets or exceeds the time frame based on our customer requirements;
    • Provides value-added alternatives that exceed customer expectations;
    • Accurately reflect our outside purchases.
  • Maintain regular contact with vendors regarding outside purchases.
  • Develop and maintain a component library that will allow quick turn-a-round of estimates and options.
  • Provide insight as to ways to improve or expand upon the estimate process to more accurately reflect our workflow and provide consistent and efficient estimates.
  • Review all estimates/job plans for accuracy.
  • Maintain and monitor any customer specific pricing.
  • Review and perform cost analysis on jobs.
  • Maintain estimating standards, waste tables and templates in printing software.


  • High school diploma/equivalency required. Associates Degree or Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in related cost estimating/job planning position.

Physical / Mental / Technical Requirements

  • Knowledge of printing papers, characteristics and uses.
  • Knowledge of offset printing process including finishing techniques.
  • PC computer proficiency using a variety of software applications and business planning software.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and schedules.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Work Hours

8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
